The Laboratorio de Investigación Aplicada para el Trabajo y la Producción (LIAPT) is dedicated to research and development in manufacturing technologies, including digital design and manufacturing, as well as additive and subtractive manufacturing. Its studies also cover the energy transition, with a focus on energy efficiency, renewable energies, electromobility, welding, and industrial testing. In addition, LIAPT promotes the linkage between the scientific system and the productive sector in Argentina, fostering technology transfer and collaboration between academia and industry to drive innovation, competitiveness, and sustainable development in the productive field.

La instalación experimental Soldadura y Ensayos tiene por objetivos desarrollar los ensayos no destructivos requeridos por la industria metalmecánica, formar estudiantes de las carreras del Instituto de Tecnología e Ingeniería y formar técnicos calificados en ensayos de materiales.
