Abstract

In 1955, a coup d'état took place in Argentina that put an end to the constitutionalgovernment of Juan Domingo Perón. It is necessary to point out that the promotion that the dismissed management gave to physical culture was prolific and was expressed in the implementation of numerouspublicpolicies such as the construction of infrastructurefor the practice of various sports, as well as the organization ofinternational fairs that brought together athletes from all over the continent. Thedictatorial government considered that Peronism, inits promotion of physical culture, used youth while corruptingthem and dedicated itself to making a severe judgment of what had been done between1946 and 1955 in that governmmentalarea.
