Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify the potentially re-victimizing situations that occur during institutionalization in convivential homes in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (CABA), in order to understand the subjectivation processes of boys, girls and adolescents that occur in these organizations, in particular it seeks to account for the psycho-social processes that children and adolescents go through who are separated from their biological families due to an exceptional measure of protection of rights and are housed in said organizations. To this end, a descriptive analysis was carried out on the data obtained through interviews with caregivers and professionals from Convivential Homes in agreement with the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, Zonal Ombudsmen's Offices and Civil Courts, and systematic reading and analysis of files from said organizations. Furthermore, in order to contextualize, theoretically, historically and institutionally, the central categories of the research, a brief overview of the process of construction of the category of childhood in the Argentine context and the historical, social and legal modifications that were influencing the current conception of said concept
