Abstract

The present work aims to reflect on the political positions on the crisis in El año del desierto by Pedro Mairal. The ways of approaching the axis are linked to the affects, postures and orientations of the body, as well as to the relationships that the character establishes with objects, events and others, according to the construction of subjectivity and space. The analysis of the positions, reactions and affects in the novel leads to ponder the practices that allow the construction of a story about the Argentinian crisis, linked not only to subjectivity but also to tradition, the public space and the nation
